On Wednesday, a four-wheeler crashed into a tree on Jatara Road in Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh, killing five people and injuring many more, according to the police.
Four people died at the scene, while one died from their injuries while being transported to the hospital, according to Sub Divisional Police Officer Abhishek Gautam.
The police claim that the car’s overspeeding caused the driver to lose control, which resulted in the collision with the tree.
According to officials, all injured people were taken to the district’s Tikamgarh District Hospital in Rajnagar village.
They added that the deceased and the injured belonged to the same Mavai village family.
