According to data updated on Tuesday by the Union Health Ministry, India experienced an increase of 89 coronavirus infections in a single day. At the same time, the number of active cases decreased by three to stand at 1,931.
4.46 crore cases of Covid were reported in total (4,46,82,104).
The data updated at 8 am showed that there have been two deaths in the last 24 hours, one reconciled by Kerala and one reported by Rajasthan, bringing the total death toll to 5,30,737.
The weekly positivity rate was 0.08 percent, and the daily positivity rate was 0.06 percent.
According to the ministry’s website, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate increased to 98.81 percent, and active cases now make up 0.01 percent of all infections.
