New Zealand beats India in first ODI while Virat expected better show from teammates

On Sunday at Wankhede Stadium as Indian team losses by 6wickets as after victory with Captain Virat too positive with team seeing the performance says he expected better show.

Mumbai: Though Virat captain of Indian team with 31st hundred in his 200th ODI was overshadowed as New Zealand got down to target of 281 in 49 overs with Tom Latham scoring an unbeaten 103 and Ross Taylor contributing 95.As Virat Kohli’s said India batsmen should have done better show by the batters in the first ODI against New Zealand, the Indian Skipper also admitted that they were atleast 30 runs short but at the same time praised the performance of the Tom Latham. New Zealand are ranked fifth in the world while India which is second ODI ranking can regain the top ODI take spot from South Africa if they win the series 3-0.
