Kidambi puts its mark of India in Demark open Super Series

An 25 years old representing India Kidambi Srikanth defeats in Badminton, finally lee –Hyun of Korea, to reach there he counted with  Hong KongWong Wing Ki Vincent with 21-18, 21-17 and advanced to the final of Denmark Open Super series with this win he grabs fourth super series final.

A match of 39 minutes where displayed great skills with a mix of smashes and beautiful net play to go past his Hong Kong counter-part. Though 2-2- head to head record in career meetings all which had gone to decider meant nothing as Srikanth towered over Wong in semifinals duel, he had big lead in the first game but had big lead in first game but as Vincent closed the gap before losing the first game 18-21.

Before getting Demark title Srikanth also had won Indonesia Open and Australian Open and did ended up Singapore Open runner up this year. Next match for the title when he beat LEE Hyun-2 of Korea 21-10, 21-5 in just 25 minutes in final of Denmark Open Super series on Sunday. IT was a one sided affair the Indian eased past through his opponent who did put up any fight right from very beginning of the game, as dominated the match and maintained the healthy points gap at all stages of the game. IT was also match were Kidambi playing his 12years senior dominance with play of just 25 minutes to get title. Prime Minister Modi on Sunday congratulated badminton players Kidmabi for winning the Denmark Open saying it had made every Indian proud.

Srikanth gets his third super series premier title with a dominating straight game victory over Korean veteran Lee Hyun in lop-sided final USD 750,000 Denmark Open in Odense.

Hence newly crowned victorious Kidambi says he would be cutting down on the number of tournaments he competes in to be in best shape for the marquee events lined up next year. He said “I really want to play a fixed number of tournaments and don’t want to play all the tournaments and push myself for the ranking” also added he will play around 10 tournaments and then play the Commonwealth and the Asian Games, the World Championship and then there is Syed Modi which is compulsory and PBL, so it would make it 15-17 tournament. He said it is an important event after China, Hong Kong, and looking forward to Dubai Super series final in December.
