Well the Forbes list of 30 under 30 list launches some want need introduction, but Delhi boy Tirthak Saha who joined the great names in the Forbes under list well was surprise. Tirthak Saha the Delhi boy who aspired to study Astrophysics but failed to make it to Delhi University by a few irrelevant percentage points. But not giving up and pursue his dreams standing withhold to entry in the coveted Forbes list here is 25years electrical engineer achiever.

Only 25years old carry on with dreams Delhi to US were he currently lives and works. His father is government school teacher and mother in postal department while not getting seat in Delhi University or IIT Delhi, Saha opted the option to enroll in the electrical engineering course at Manipal University’s International Centre for Applied Science. Determined aspirant nature got him entry to Drexel University in Philadelphia on Scholarship earth proved to be his place.

While completing his Bachelor of Science from Drexel University he also designed an origami-based modular solar panel array for mini satellites while doing a stint at NASA Pennsylvania Space Grant. HE got picked by the Americal Electric Power AEP, while company was in search who could innovate their power grid system, with Saha created a post for him that of Grid Modernization Engineer. Along with working he is also involved in the research work on power generation and distribution which won him entry in Forbes. His recent innovation challenge held by AEP Saha presented a project which is to create virtual power plant like linked network of behind the meter energy storage units in regards to energy aggregation, this project was judged second which landed him with coveted place in the Forbes list.

Saha remembers the electricity blackout back at home he says “it is tipping point, I guess. I believe power should not be a luxury but a basic right of life”. However he also mentioned explaining his work, that the ageing electric grids in US were nearly a century old and hadn’t seen much innovation and he was incorporating smart grid technology to make AEP’s grid sager and more reliable.
