No Relief And Level-3 Restrictions To Continue In 11 Districts Of Maharashtra

Pune – The Maharashtra government on Monday has issued a new “Break The Chain Order” as per which the Level 3 restrictions which are followed across the state will remain effective in 11 districts including Pune.

Since these 11 districts have comparatively higher COVID-19 cases than other districts in Maharashtra, the restrictions are likely to continue. It is said that there will be some relaxation for the other districts such as markets to remain open on the weekdays till 8pm (currently this limit is 4 pm) and will be 3pm on the Saturdays.

This decision is likely to bother the business owners in the city who are running businesses. The Federation of Trade Association of Pune held a press conference demanding that the shops will be allowed to open till 8 pm on the weekdays.

Eleven districts in Maharashtra under Level-3 restrictions

The districts in Maharashtra where the Level-3 restrictions will remain the same are Kolhapur, Pune, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Beed, Ahmednagar, Palghar and Raigad. Since these districts have cases of COVID-19 positive cases and higher emergence of the new Covid positive cases, the respective disaster management authorities will enforce effective restrictions to control it.

Level-3 restrictions

1. Essential and non-essential shops will operate only till 4 pm.
2. The movement of the people will be restricted after 5 pm.
3. Sports activities will be allowed to be open from 5 am to 9 am and 6 pm to 9 pm.
4. Shooting will be operated only if a bio bubble is present and no outside movement is permitted after 5 pm.
5. Government office attendance is restricted to 50 per cent and the private companies can remain open till 4 pm on all days.
6. A social gathering will be permitted with 50 per cent attendance – marriage can be attended by 50 people while a funeral can be attended by 20 people.
7. Malls, single screens and theatres will remain closed.
8. Restaurants and other hotels can operate with 50 per cent dining capacity only till 4 pm and after that only deliveries are allowed.
9. Local trains will be operated only for the people belonging to the essential service category.
10. Public parks and places will be open from 5 am to 9 pm.
11. E-commerce activities will remain operational.
12. Gyms, salons and parlours must allow clients on prior appointments and only up to 50 per cent capacity is allowed.
13. In public transport, no standing is permitted.
14. Manufacturing units can operate regularly.
15. Construction sites will have only in-site workers and no one will be allowed to move around after 4 pm.
16. Social meetings and election rallies can have up to 50 per cent of attendance.
