“Won’t Spare Anyone If Anything…”: Lalu Yadav’s Daughter After CBI Visit

Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter claimed that the ailing Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) patriarch was being “constantly harassed” and issued a warning that she would “not spare anyone” if something happened to him as CBI agents questioned him in a corruption case today.

The second daughter of the former chief minister of Bihar, Rohini Acharya, tweeted in Hindi that the way he was being harassed was wrong. “Everything will be recalled. Time has great power, “She spoke.

She claimed in another tweet that the 74-year-old leader could still upend Delhi’s center of power. Limits of endurance are currently being put to the test, she said.

Ms. Acharya gave Lalu Prasad Yadav one of her kidneys in December. The surgery was performed in a hospital in Singapore.

Following the procedure, the seasoned politician has been residing at Misa Bharti, his daughter and a member of parliament, in Delhi.

In the land-for-jobs case, in which his wife, the former chief minister Rabri Devi, and daughters Misa and Hema are also charged, Lalu Prasad Yadav is being questioned. Twelve people who allegedly received jobs in exchange for land are also named in the case.

Mr. Yadav and his family members are accused in the CBI FIR filed in May 2022 of purchasing land at bargain prices in exchange for hiring him as Union Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009.

The RJD leaders have dismissed the allegations as being politically motivated. Last week, Ms. Devi claimed that the BJP feared Mr. Yadav. “We won’t take off. For the past 30 years, we have been dealing with these accusations. In Bihar, Lalu Yadav is a threat to the BJP.”

Rabri Devi was questioned by CBI agents yesterday at the Yadavs’ Patna home. The Yadavs and the other defendants are scheduled to show up in Delhi for the case a week from today, on March 15.
