A Metro Pillar in Bengaluru collapses, killing a woman and her son.

An under-construction Metro pillar fell on a woman’s two-wheeler in Bengaluru, Karnataka, killing her and her three-year-old son while injuring her husband and daughter. This morning, the Nagavara neighborhood of Bengaluru reported the incident.

According to officials, the couple and their twin children—a son and a daughter—were riding their bikes through the area when the heavy iron pillar fell on them.

The accident left Tejasvani and her son Vihan with serious injuries. Bystanders rushed them to a nearby hospital, where they passed away while receiving care.

Lohith, Tejasvani’s husband, and their daughter are receiving medical care at the facility.

According to the police, Tejasvini was riding as the passenger, and Lohith was the bike’s driver. Both of them were wearing helmets, the police added.

“This morning, a Metro pillar fell and struck a bike carrying four people. Tejasvini and her son Vihan were transported to the Altius hospital after suffering severe injuries. Sadly, they passed away there, “the officials said.
