A tourist from Japan who was harassed during Holi celebrations departs India.

According to the police, three people have been detained for the Holi-related harassment and abuse of a Japanese woman in Delhi.
The police reported that the young traveler was staying in Paharganj in the heart of Delhi and that the three suspects, one of whom is a minor, are also locals.

They added that the girl left for Bangladesh yesterday and hasn’t yet filed a complaint.

The girl tweeted that she had arrived in Bangladesh and was in good physical and mental health, according to a statement from the police.

Social media users have been outraged by a video of the incident and have called for harsh punishment.

In the video, the men can be seen grabbing her and dousing her in paint as “Holi Hai” chants are heard in the background.

Additionally, a boy is seen breaking an egg on her head. The video depicts her slapping a man who tries to hold her before she finally succeeds in stepping away.

The woman was drenched and nearly unrecognizable by the time her ordeal ended.

According to officials, the suspects were found through local intelligence, and an ongoing investigation is ongoing. They also said they are in touch with the Japanese embassy.
