Autopsies revealed that former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry and his friend Jehangir Pandole died due to “severe head trauma and multiple external and internal injuries to vital organs.”
After their bodies were brought from Kasa sub-district hospital in Palghar around midnight on Monday, Cyrus Mistry and his friend Jehangir Pandole were post-mortemed at state-run JJ Hospital.
In Mistry’s case, an autopsy revealed severe head trauma that resulted in a hemorrhage (heavy bleeding). Numerous fractures in the chest, head, thigh, and neck. According to JJ hospital doctors, these types of injuries occur when there is a significant jolt to the body, such as when a car goes from 100 to zero.
“Cyrus and Jehangir were injured in the head, chest, and limbs due to multiple trauma.” “These injuries can result in instant death,” a doctor said.
The viscera samples will be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Kalina, according to JJ officials. A viscera analysis is performed to detect traces of chemicals, alcohol, and poison, among other things. According to sources, samples were also saved for DNA analysis.
Cyrus Mistry and Jehangir Pandole, who were in the back seat of a Mercedes SUV when it crashed on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway on Sunday, died almost instantly.
Mistry’s remains suffered a head injury and a severe chest injury. “Both of them suffered injuries to vital organs, which can result in instant death,” a source said.
“The injuries indicated a forceful impact to the body, most likely caused by a speeding car coming to an abrupt halt.” “When the car goes from 100 to zero, the body experiences a significant jolt,” explained an expert.
