Alarming situation at New Delhi which turned into Smog City at present

New Delhi: Mother Nature alarming  Wake up call for India capital which turned to smog city around three days now situation it seem from picture is as help- less as ever. Major Human created pollution level in New Delhi reached 10times safe limit as throughout gray cloud of smoke descend the covering the city like wrap. Even before getting Delhi first winter chill it looks dazed along with severe pollution smog.

The Indian Medical Association declared a public health emergency along with government, issuing people not to go out without utter necessity. It is said to have dangerous PM2.5 particles which are small enough to enter peoples bloodstream peaked at 742 micrograms per cubic meter though as per WHO safe limit to b is 60 particles reports as per NDtv. AS CM of Delhi Mr. Kejriwal aptly put city to be “Gas Chamber”.  Schools are scheduled to be closed till Sunday. Seeing dense smog shrouded the roads of the world’s most polluted capital and many pedestrians and bikers wore masks or covered their mouths with handkerchief and scarves. As high level of moisture in the air and lack of wind though Delhi experience such climate around this time but certainly it has increased level since 2to 3 years coming up as worst air quality capital.

However this issue of firecrackers set off during Diwali celebration burdening with toxic mix by pollution from diesel engines, coal-fired power plants and industrial emissions added burden from burning of crop stubble by farmers after recent harvest time in neighboring states affecting poor quality air.

Seeing current  prolonging situation , battling pollution crisis Delhi government on Thursday announce to bring back odd- even formula weeks that November 13 to 17 that is odd registration number vehicle will ply on odd dates with even number on even dates. A mist it to be third time odd-even plan executed in the Capital, since first time it lasted for fortnight, started on January 1, 2016  second time was four month later in April 15 to 30, both times around restriction were in place from 8 am to 8 pm.

As again odd- even formula implemented by CM Kejriwal as Thursday facing same poor quality air. The reports from transport minister Kailash Gahlot is scheduled to hold a press conference at 4 pm where detail of scheme likely to be announced. As there is road rationing scheme is part of the Graded Response Action Plan designed by the Supreme Court- appointed Environment pollution Control Authority. (EPCA) to control pollution at various levels as it was enforced in New Delhi on Oct 17. With ever increasing road transport modes this no surprise that situation can get even severe as per record there were an additional 4 lakh and 1.3 lakh two-wheelers on road.
