The national capital’s weekend curfew has been relaxed, as have restrictions at markets and malls. Cinemas and restaurants will be allowed to reopen with a 50% capacity, while wedding guests will be limited to 200. Government offices will be operating at half-capacity. The night curfew will stay in effect, and educational institutions will remain closed.
The new guidelines were imposed after a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to assess the city’s Covid-19 situation. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, DDMA Chairman and Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, as well as other experts and officials, attended the meeting.
On Wednesday, Delhi recorded 7,498 Covid-19 infections, up from 6,028 the day before. According to Wednesday’s health bulletin, the positivity rate, which is the percentage of total samples that return positive, was 10.5 percent.
Here is the list of activities allowed and not allowed in the capital-
1. Cinema halls are also to be permitted to open at 50% capacity. Weddings to be permitted with a cap of 200 people. Government offices to function at 50% capacity.
