BJP Leader’s Wife Killed In Uttarakhand Shootout; UP Cops Charged With Murder

While chasing a mining mafia in Uttarakhand, five police officers from Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad were hurt, and one lady was killed.

Gurpreet Kaur, the wife of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Gurtaj Bhullar, was identified as the woman killed in an exchange of fire between officers and mining mafia associates.

Two police officers were shot at, and three others were injured in other ways, during a conflict that started when a Moradabad Police team arrived in Uttarakhand’s Jaspur to arrest a mining gang known as Zafar.

According to the police, Zafar was carrying a 50,000 reward and was thought to be hiding in Mr. Bhullar’s house.

Following the death of the BJP leader’s wife, enraged locals kidnapped four police officers. In Uttarakhand, a murder case has also been filed against the UP Police.

“The accused is a wanted criminal with a 50,000 reward. He got away from there (Bharatpur village). When our police squad arrived, they were kidnapped, and their firearms were taken, “According to Moradabad senior cop Shalabh Mathur, as stated by news agency ANI.

While five officers are being treated at a hospital, two are still missing, and an investigation is underway to find them.
