THE 9THBRICS summit 2017 under China lead themed on “BRICS: stronger partnership for brighter future” held at Xiamen Fujian Province. The BRICS comprises of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Chinese president Xi Ji Ping at meeting on very start  of 3 day summit said BRICS group of emerging economies must promote trade liberalisation and  an open world economy China as a host its latest chance to position itself as a bulwark of globalisation in face of US president Donald Trump “America First” agenda . Though BRICS leader has also joined by observer countries Thailand, Mexico, Egypt, Guinea and Tajikistan.

There was a very chance of BRICS meeting falling apart this year at forthcoming in Xiamen in China but fortunately, that disaster has been averted  and BRICS meeting started in the less tense atmosphere without the face off Doklam issue for both India and China. That  was the reason why rest of the world had great interest as India and China `were on verge of war and standoff at doklam for 73 days as these were two most populous  developing countries in the world. PM Narendra Modi suggests 10 noble commitments to be taken up by BRICS member’s leaders so that global transformation can be achieved.

PM also held meeting with Egyptian President Adel Fattah el Sisi on sidelines of Xiamen. At last day on Bilateral meeting between  Indian PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jiping begin after which as it was scheduled PM Modi to leave for Myanmar visit.

In bilateral meet  Indian PM and  Chinese President had made clear on peace and border area must be maintained, closer communication on defence and security personnel of India and china, counter terrorism issues were discussed again between both of them.

PM Modi of India and President of Brazilian Michel Temer also held bilateral meeting and discussed a partnership based on a “common global vision”.

IT was second time the BRICS was hosted in china after 2011 summit. Four document which signed in presence of BRICS leaders .

BRICS AGRICULTURE RESEARCH PLATFORM which is to be established in India will serve as virtual network facilitate cooperation in priority areas.

CALLED UPON INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY OVER COUNTER TERRORISM COALITION  it was like called upon international issue to establish genuinely broad counter terrorism coalition and support UN’s central coordinating role in this regard.
