On the evening of 22nd July 2019 (Monday), ISRO successfully launched India’s second mission to the moon- chandrayaan 2. This is marked as India’s one of the most successful missions. They expect the landing of the rocket on September 7 in the south pole which has remained unexplored.
This mission has been a giant leap for India and costs 20 times less than NASA’s moon missions. With a billion dreams the country has successfully launched the mission and secured the fourth place after Russia, the United States and China. Chandrayaan 2 has been the most prestigious and complex mission undertaken by the country.
K Sivan the chairman of Indian space research organisation revealed the saying that they came back after the technical snag on July 15 with flying colours. It has been a beautiful and exciting moment for all scientists as they exchanged greetings and celebrated their joy.
The mission of rupees 978 crores was held by Ritu Karidhal, who was the mission director and M Vanitha, who was the project director. This two women scientists brought up women power.
