New Delhi: A crucial issue going on with time again flares with current meet of Kulbhushan Jadav’s family meet in Pakistan. While on Monday Jadhav’s wife and mother went to Pakistan to meet him where he is as Indian prisoner on death row, as Pakistan on December 8, had granted permission to meet him with December 20, issuer of visa to Jadhav’s wife and mother.

A case according to the Pakistani Government on 3march 2016 had arrested inside Baluchistan in Mashkel near the border region of Chaman, during a counterintelligence raid conducted by security forces. Pakistani security forces reported Jadhav as a serving officer in the Indian Navy and asserted that he was commissioned to the Research and Analysis wing, India’s external intelligence agency. They believed him to be involved in subversive activities in Baluchistan and Karachi. As Pakistan government states that he is serving commander in the Indian Navy who was involved in subversive activities inside country while he took upon as terrorist, denies any current link. On 10 April 2017 Jadhav was sentenced to death by Field General Court Martial in Pakistan however with involvement of ICJ (international court of Justice) still hanging pending the final judgment on the case.

India maintains that Jadhav being Ex-naval officer was kidnapped from Iran where he was on business interest after retiring from Navy. Jadhav had filed an appeal with the Army chief to seek clemency, which still pending, as India’s approach to ICJ restrained Pakistan from executing Jadhav till adjudication of the case. However India had also informed ICJ that it learnt the death sentence against Jadhav from the press release, as India acknowledges his connection to Indian Navy but denies his any connection with the government. India over this case also warned Pakistan of consequences and damage to bilateral ties if the premeditated murder was carried out.

It seems gaining strong reaction through the country; the external Affair Minister said India expects Pakistan to desist from attempting to influence the proceedings at the ICJ in the case through false propaganda. With current meet of family member to Jadhav in Islamabad, External minister Sawaraj will make a statement on the issue in the both houses of Parliament on Thursday while she will first address the Rajya Sabha at 11am tomorrow and the Lok Sabha at 12 noon.

After four day break moment Parliament met opposition members condemned the hostile reception accorded to Jadhav’s wife and mother during the visit.

Leader of the congress in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said “”we condemn the way Jadhav’s mother and wife were treated in Pakistan, he should be brought back to country”.

According to Shiv sena, AIADMK and Trinamool Congress were among the parties who joined the protest in the house. While Sawant raised the issue and said India should not keep silent in the matter.

Strong reaction revealed from senior leader Subramanian Swamy said that India should go to war with Pakistan and split it into four parts.

As to one of the AIADMK leader also condemn the incident of asking a woman to remove her ‘mangal sutra’ is an insult to the country, as to it external minister had said on Tuesday that Pakistan went far to have the mangla sutra and bangles and bindi of his mother and wife removed before they could meet him.

It seems that under the pretext of precautions the cultural and religious sensibilities of family members were disregarded.
