Gurmeet Ram Rahim the Dera chief was taken to CBI court were held guilty in a 15 years old rape, he faces a 7 year jail term and punishment to be announced on August 28. The Dera Chief said was taken into custody immediately the court convicted him.

Dera has even own wing named (PAW) in 2007 to advice its follower to whom to vote due to which Dera all followers to support particular party which pays in crore and this support usually change the poll outcome in many seats of Haryana and Punjab, as Dera follower voted in block. Both congress in 2007 and BJP in 201-12 took on Dera Chief Aid to get seats in Punjab and Haryana.
