Following the continuance of the present heatwave on Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts moderate rain or drizzle in Delhi for the next two days.
The IMD bulletin described the weather as a “mostly cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle,” despite the fact that the maximum temperature is expected to drop from 42.0 degrees Celsius on Tuesday to 41.0 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and 39 degrees Celsius on Thursday. This is because the IMD has forecasted thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds throughout the Western Himalayan Region and adjacent plains during April 19-to 21.
Strong dust raising winds (speed reaching 25-35 kmph) very likely at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, north Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh on 19th & 20th April, 2022.

On Monday, the maximum temperature at Safdarjung, the city’s base station, was 41.6 degrees Celsius, a difference of 4.6 degrees Celsius from the usual of 37.0 degrees Celsius.
The city has been experiencing strong heatwave in the month of April and not only Delhi, neighbouring cities like Haryana, Uttar Pradesh are also facing the wrath of heatwave and this prediction of IMD is surely a ray of hope for the people amid the rising temperature.
