Floods across Assam, Kerala and Bihar, affecting tremendously

The situation in the states of Bihar and Assam remained critical on Thursday. Hundreds of people were dead and three districts of Kerala faced extremely heavy rainfall while IMD issued a red alert for the consecutive 3 days. The northern part and eastern part of India has been flooded by rain. In the Sangrur district of Punjab, army are arranged for the safety and security. The Ghaggar River was breached and over flooded the agricultural fields of 2000 acres and above. The nearby inhabitants of villages were carried away by the flood.

The capital state Delhi faced a higher amount of rainfall which resulted in a decrease in the pollution and temperature levels. It was observed that overnight the city faced 12.1 mm rainfall. Reports also declared that between 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. the city faced 3.6 mm precipitation.  The torrential rainfall became the cause of the death of 28 people in the flood face by Bihar.

Out of the 33 districts of Assam 28 remained under the control of the flood that it took away with it 36 people leading to their death while the rest 54 lakhs of the population were displaced.

According to the ASDMA, 9 deaths caused from morigaon, biswanath and sonitpur. The wild animals which included elephants, rhinos, deer’s, birds and even wild boars where forced to take refuge in the parks which had artificial highlands. These animals mostly belong from submerged parts of Manas national park and the wildlife sanctuary of pobitora.
