Some 200 students from Indian are also reduced from Houston University where they were surrounded by neck deep water. Currently news all safe and  clear area. Sewa International Houston along with several other Indian American community organisation have teamed up to provide food and shelter to affected people.

Major Indian organisation such as India Cultural centre. the India house, Indo American charity foundation, Indian political action committee has decided to coordinate their efforts through Sewa International.

Indian businesses and places of worship were providing shelter to displaced families. Gitesh Desai from Sewa international’s Houston president said staying strong through the crisis.

Harvey, the most powerful hurricane to hit Us in 13 years living in its wake trail of destruction as it passed in on Saturday over Texas and making the coastal area more prone and vulnerable to flood.
