Hope B-LIT, under Bayfiled Foundation Inc. is a 501 (c) non-profit organization based in Los Angeles.

Our organization aims to provide a comprehensive platform for children to nourish their inherent human values via value-based workshops and further improve their quality of life via holistic healthcare camps and awareness on prevalent issues faced by them around the world.

We at Hope B~Lit are elated to share with you the many projects and collaborations that help us grow and help more kids every year with our many initiatives. Some of them are our Values Initiatives in school systems where we focus on enhancing the realization of the human values inherent in all of us via creative workshops that can be combined within regular subjects. Hope Beyond Borders -projects like “Connections Across Borders” wherein efforts like – “Linking by Inking”, we connected children in the USA with children in India through letters, Wish Upon SMILE – oral care efforts we have covered over 11 villages in Africa, over 29 villages in India providing complete oral treatment, sanitary pads, water tanks and filters & in Mexico covered Deportivo{ Deported} locations to provide food, hygiene and art kits for locals and finally under Our VOICES UNHEARD FILMS, which is making features, web series and short films on social awareness and call to action we have associated and produced films on social causes from a unique child’s perspective winning many hearts and global awards aiming to raise funds for the people impacted and awareness on subjects like sexual trauma, child cancer, human rights etc. We are nominated with one of our films called Got Cancer! to be on National Television, Los Angeles for being the best human interest film on child cancer. Our initiative is to help kids braving cancer and we donate a 100 percent of the funds received based on our NO ADMIN COST model. We are taking steps to creating a new breed of “Citizens of The World” – beyond classroom walls, beyond the local community and beyond borders.

I grew up in India and traveled across the globe working in varied industries in technological and management capacities. Across borders and cultures, the common aspect was obvious as to how we all relate so much better with each other if dealt with compassion and care and collaboration instead of competition. The fact that we had to travel so much due to my father’s job in defense enhanced my skill to meet new people and adapt to new environments. My parents were my core for all the real-life learning and my teachers and fellow students the add on’s to my perspective as well.

The need for Values in our everyday life and the lack of it being taught in the regular curriculum is something that is coming to light more and more in the current world. With the advent of technological advancements in leaps and bounds, we have somehow left the aspect of our learning of our basic essence of humanness behind. Leading the current majority to be disconnected not only from each other but also from self. I have a passion for music and mentoring and began these efforts in small groups initially and then expanded to workshops with kids from different cultural and economic backgrounds.

The Joy and satisfaction that we see in teachers, parents, and children when we bring forth the inherent essentials of our being through creative tools that we innovate as per teaching environment are the moving factors to keep us making these efforts every day.

Once in a teachers certification course, I was asked at the end as a teacher what is one thing I would like to teach a child that would be very important, i shared” I would love to be able to teach them to be themselves “, as I believe once we connect and are true to our selves and are happy with Who We Are, the world is a happier and more joyous place to live and contribute in and leads to true success in this dynamic world.

I thank all the teachers that crossed my path in different roles be it a school teacher, a friend, an acquaintance, a child..they all were the reason i was inspired to dream of HOPE B~ LIT{ Holistic Opportunities and Purpose Of Education Be Lit }
