IAF Pilot Abhinandan returns India, Warm Welcome at Wagah Border

“I am not supposed to say, sir.” The only thing he said to the Pakistan Officials. The man of the time IAF Pilot Abhinandan has taken the whole world by storm. Yesterday, The Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that the IAF Pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan will be returned back to India as a gesture of Good Will and peace. And has also asked for a path to open talks between the two Asian countries. Before when India wanted the pilot to be returned through the flight was rejected by Pakistan. Now finally, both the countries accepted that the braveheart of India will be returning home through the Wagah border. With a huge number of people gathering to witness the return, the security was tightened and the whole area is in a state of high alert.

This IAF Pilot Abhinandan is the man who chased away the Pakistan fighter jet F-16 and shot it down. It is the first time ever in the world, that an antiquated flight as MEG-21 had shot down an advanced flight as F-16. It shows the versatility and the patriotism of the WG Commander Abhinandan.

After releasing him from the flight, due to mere unluck, IAF Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman fell down into PoK by just a 5 km away from India. When he asked a person nearby where had landed, that person reportedly lied that he is India. Abhinandan hearing that shouted pro-India slogans. After that, a few Pakistan Locals started to chant pro-Pakistan slogans. This gave the pilot realized that he is indeed struck at Pakistan. Leaving no room for mistakes, he dipped the important documents in water and swallowed them by saving his country’s delicate information. When people tried to attack him he shot the gun in the air. Later, tried to escape by jumping into the nearby pond. Later on, the Pakistan army came to the rescue and brought him to a safe place.

Global pressure on Pakistan to return Abhinandan safely

Pressure on PAK from all over the world to de-escalate the situation in both countries resulted in the tensions to reduce considerably. Pakistan also made it the priority to treat the IAF Pilot Abhinandan according to the Geneva Conventions. Here are what some of the leaders from different countries have to say about India-Pakistan tensions.

“I think reasonably attractive news from Pakistan and India, they have been going at it and we have been involved and have them stop, we have some reasonably decent news, hopefully it’s going to be coming to an end, this has been going on for a long time, decades and decades,” the US President said.

Many countries including the UK, France, Germany, China, and even Saudi has expressed their wish to see the tensions de-escalated.

India’s hero returns home

The whole of India stood at their respective places waiting for the return of their soldier. And Wagah Border is in the bliss of celebration. Parents of the IAF Pilot Abhinandan went to Amritsar today to receive their son. Here is a video of Abhinandan’s parents being applauded by their co-passengers on the way to Amritsar in the flight.

The formalities were completed on the Pakistan side at 4.50 IST. Abhi reached Wagah border at 5.10 PM. He along with Indian HR officials and his wife crossed the border to reach his homeland. AIR Vice Marshalls received Wing Commander Abhinandan at the Wagah Border today evening at 9.30 PM.

He underwent medical tests to analyze his physical strength. Now, WG Commander has gone to Amritsar airport to reach Delhi for a briefing in a convoy accompanied by two ambulances. There, Abhinandan will be taken the necessary medical tests in case anything had been done to him in Pakistan. He would also explain the things that he had gone through.

Pakistan’s Mind Games

In between the fallacy by Pakistan of acting accordingly as a Goodwill, they had actually broken the laws of Geneva convention. They had forcefully made WG Cmd Abhinandan to interview and cut it as much as 50 times in a mere 1.40-second propaganda video. At last the real face of Pakistan is now torn down. When India rejected Pakistan’s ceremony to celebrate sending off Indian Pilot. Therefore, they got miffed and hence delayed the process of sending the Pilot.

The name Abhinandan has created a storm on the internet today. With many hailing the man as the true hero and true son of Mother India is indeed showing the patriotism of our soldier. As the whole crowd chants Abinandan’s name and wishes him, he crossed the Wagah-Attari border to reach his home, his land. It is indeed an emotional and historic day for Indians.
