INDIA AND EU with 14th Edition come with Solid Plans and Strategies

Marking the 55th anniversary of EU and India‘s diplomatic relations, India hosted 14th EU- INDIA summit  on 6th October 2017.

New Delhi: India hosted this summit in the capital city with leaders discussed foreign and security policy, migration, trade, climate, research and innovation were the highlight points. Donald Tusk the president of the European Council and Jean Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission, represented the EU and host India represented by PM Modi.

Leader opted to a joint statement reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the EU – India Strategic Partnership.

Strategic partnership summit leader reaffirmed commitment to further deepen and strengthen the India-EU strategic partnership. Summit member also welcomed the progress made towards implementing the India-EU agenda for the action 2020.

Security question we discussed as in recent years EU also has seen terror attack on various fronts.  So EU came along with India efforts on terror this leader strongly condemned the recent attacks across the world. Leaders opted a joint statement on counterterrorism cooperation to tackle foreign terrorist fighters, terrorist financing and arms supply. It also both affirmed commitment towards further cooperates on maritime security in the Indian Ocean and beyond. As currently tactical exercise in the Gulf of Aden between the EU’s Naval Force operation Atlanta and the Indian Navy.

Foreign policy was one important were leaders to end violence towards the Rohingya minority in Myanmarand so to restore the peace in the region of Rakhine. Korea was also taken were both sides condemned the nuclear test conducted by the DPRK on 3rdSeptember 2017. There was called upon by both for the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula was considered and for all UNSC sanctions to be fully implemented by the entire international community. For Iranian nuclear issue was also taken up a joint comprehensive plan of action decided upon. On Ukariane leaders underlined with support for a diplomatic solution through the full Implementation of Minsk Agreement by all parties.

Global changes as to global migration and refugee crisis and agreed to coordinate closely, climate changes which leaders stressed their commitments to Paris agreement agreed  on joint step up cooperation on its implementation.

EU and India’s leaders expressed their shared commitments t strengthening the economic partnership between India and the EU as both sides to re-engage towards relaunching negotiation  for an India-EU broad-based trade and investment agreements.
