India – Japan 13th Bilateral Meet: PM Modi in Japan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (27-10-2018) left for Japan to participate in a 2-day conference in Japan. The similar cultural and historical significance of both the countries aids in boosting the rapport between the two countries. Upon meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Tokyo, both the PMs shared a warm talk. The summit, taking place today (28-10-2018) and tomorrow (29-10-2018) will have many economic, as well as strategic talks and many deals. Mr Abe will host PM Modi at his holiday home in the picturesque Yamanashi surrounded by lush nature and immense beauty. 

Prime Minister Modi said in his message before Japan’s departure:

India and Japan are the Winning Combinations.  And the summit in Japan will be a vigorous addition to the friendship between the two countries. He also added that the world’s most innovative country is also the most trusted partner for the technological investments in the country and will always be the most reliable country for India.

 

PM of both the countries is meeting again for the 12th time to discuss global issues in the Indo-pacific region. The two countries that believe in democracy share different high-value things, will work towards both peace and prosperity

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project will be a key importance in the meeting between the prime ministers. The Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project represents the highest and strong economic cooperation between the two countries. Japan’s belief in India’s economic growth has made it participate in India’s major policies, such as Skill India and Digital India. India also hopes for some sort of Integration between Japan’s most successful Medicare programme and India’s future Ayushman Bharat scheme. India’s Medicare programme would the largest Medicare programme of its kind globally.

PM Modi is also going to address before Indian people living in Japan. At this conference, India will have a chance to discuss with various entrepreneurs including Japan’s Prime Minister Shinsho Abe. Through this meeting, the trade relations between the two countries will be strengthened and the investments will be boosted. The meeting will help the countries to work together in various fields of health, digital technology, agriculture, disaster management and infrastructure in harmony.
