Colombo Sri Lankan officials had earlier warned about the attacks on Indian intelligence agencies on Sunday. Sources directly linked to this matter told news agency Reuters that officials of the Indian intelligence agency had warned Sri Lanka officials about terror attacks about two hours earlier.
India and Sri Lanka did not make any statement in this matter
The source said that Indian officials had given reliable information to the Sri Lankan officials about the attack on the churches.
Another source said that even on Saturday, India had warned. A similar warning was also sent on April 4. However, the Indian Foreign Office and the President’s Office of Sri Lanka have not made any statement in this regard.
Meanwhile, Sri Lankan President Maitripala Sirisena said that no information was given to them regarding the warning of the attack. It is believed that they can remove the heads of their armies within 24 hours.
After the terrorist attacks on the island country, India has increased the surveillance on the Marine Army which was engaged to it. Indian Coast Guard has intensified patrolling of aircraft and warships for monitoring.
Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Vikramasinghe said that some people are roaming about explosives. There may be more attacks in the country.
Islamic State has taken responsibility for the attack in Sri Lanka. The agency’s agency Amak released a press release on Tuesday. The terrorist organization claimed that only 8 terrorists who appeared in this photo carried out attacks in Sri Lanka.
