Indian all set and ready to host FIFA U-17 World Cup

Begins the  countdown for the FIFA U-17 World Cup , the LOC  Chairman Praful Patel excited and all group team hiked up in spirit for FIFA fever on from October 6th India hosting for the first time.

New Delhi : Praful Patel the local committee chairman said that Indian is “100  percent ready to host the event while press conference he said “India is ready we have 100 % readiness on infrastructure and the Indian national team is geared up to participate in the World Cup. The time of reckoning has come for Indian football and we are proud to announce the stage is set for the World cup”.

Patel the chairman said that they have requested PM Modi to grace the opening day of the tournament at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium that is on October 6th. This request was made by joint efforts of Patel and LOC (local organizing committee) as opening match is between India and US and as well as the formal launch of the U-17 World Cup.

While same excitement was received from the Luis Norton de Matos the host nation’s coach said he is “not nervous but confident”.

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) chief said that the FIFA  hosting its executive committee meeting in India for the first time itself is an important  milestone  enough, to begin with. The committee also said that FIFA is  very keen to see India’s transition from a footballing nation of the past to the future footballing nation and that something to  be  really proud the as have to tackle every issue and if any other arises than we are really 100 % track on all that to face.

AIFF in an effort to field a strong team had arranged for an exposure trip to Europe wherein they had an opportunity with Serbia, Macedonia and Benfica SL among other club and national teams. The Indian Colts then had gone to Mexico to take part in a tournament where they had session against Mexico, Chile and Colombia in August.

Luis Matos Portuguese sounded optimistic about taking on challenges facing his team which also landed in the capital on Tuesday, he said” I’m sure that this is perhaps the strongest team India has fielded in this age group. The competitive experience is a big factor at this level but I’m very confident about this team and I can already feel that adrenaline flowing in me my team. I’m very happy with the way how the team has shaped up. Victory will be our target in each and every game I hope we are proud of our performance, our intensity. We are not obliged to win, we are obliged to play for the win, and playing for the country the players know the responsibility.” When asked about favourites to win the title he said African teams have always been strong. Brazil is a big favourite; he was also very impressed with Mexico, but in football, with three games every day, this prognosis can change. On a good day, we can create a lot of problem for the bigger teams.

Brazil who turns up with a practice game on Thursday at the Mumbai Football Arena in suburban Andheri against New Zealand is in Group D with Niger, Spain and DPR Korea. The Carlos coach said that “I look at this world cup as a world cup of equality all the teams of Europe are very strong including Spain and England. The South American team strong along with Mexico and the United States. African are always done well I any age group that why I say this will probably be  a world cup of equality as there are many teams with chances to win  said on Thursday.

It ‘s pretty exciting for us and we are looking to do something great here.”

Hence India is vibrating with lots of energy all team have their own and target set, a total of 24 teams will compete  in tournament in six groups of  4 each team.
