Kabir Singh Review

We have all seen Shahid Kapoor in commercial films, which became a hit. We have seen him performing an intense character in films like Haider and Padmavat. The latest creation, Kabir Singh by V.S. Reddy, a remake of a South Indian film, Arjun Reddy stars Shahid Kapoor aka Kabir Singh, who is a troubled college student, coming from a financially upward family, a former womanizer, and the college topper.

Unlike most commercial films where the public expects the hero to be a good guy, who is loved by everyone, this film shows the story of a flawed human, with a lot of anger issues. Next up, he falls in love with a junior in his college, and becomes possessive about her, while the girl named Preeti (role played by Kiara Advani), seemed to fall for Kabir Singh later in the film. Later Preeti gets married to some other man, which Kabir couldn’t take well and went into alcohol and drugs.

The basic storyline of the movie being this, we can all relate it to our lives, and I think it’s a movie you all should add to your bucket list. I’m personally quite satisfied with the team’s work and dedication towards the film. The director being V. S. Reddy we know what to expect from him.

The songs of this movie, i.e; Bekhayali, Tera ban jayunga, Kaise hua, Tujhe kitna chahne laga and Mere Sohneya are super hit. Even though this movie has got a few dialogues I think overall it’s a good film and better than the commercial films with all big stars.
