Barack Obama is the world’s most admired man for the third year in a row, while his wife Michelle Obama is the world’s most admired lady for the third year in a row.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is the world’s 10th most admired woman in 2021, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is among the top 10 most admired men. The complete list of 2021’s Most Admired Men and Women can be found below.

The YouGov organisation gathered nominations from panellists in 38 countries and territories in the spring of this year. The group asked them a simple question: Of all the people alive today, which [man or woman] do you admire the most?

The responses were then utilised to create a list of 20 men and women who had been nominated in at least four nations each. Five to ten additional local figures were added to the lists for each country.
