An local entrepreneur Indian American honoured to be on run for congress in Arizona

Anita Malik a more Indian American running for the House of Representative for Arizona after Hiral Tipirneni’s announcement last month to go for Congress.

Malik is 41 years, a former journalist and businesswoman and digital media entrepreneur who will be running for the 6th Congressional District aiming for the seat held by three conservative Republican, David Schweikert. Malik is been dynamic with work experience has been chief operating officer at Clear Voice, a content marketing company and has the confidence that her business experience as a brand and marketing expert will positive asset in politics.

She announced her candidacy through the video she shared with supporters and voters throughout the district saying” many of us are working harder and harder everyday but it seems like we can’t catch up and our dream is out of reach .the egos of our current leaders are getting in the way of a solution. Hate and division are overpowering progress. It is unacceptable and it is not my style . I am known for bringing people together and getting things done and I plan to live up my reputation”. She  also said, “As a woman of colour I stand a better chance of making a difference and affecting real change if I run for federal office because the average hard working American is fed up with our leaders in Washington and this administration ‘s lack of progress.”

She is born in Kansas City, Missouri and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona where she now lives with her husband and two young children. She daughter of formerly  Delhi based couple Ashok and Kiran Malik who came to US early 1970 for postgraduate studies at the University of California.

Malik has two bachelor’s degrees one in finance and the other computer systems operations and after her first job as tech company she also consulting for firms and starts-ups across the state including the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, PCS Healthcare, Schrieffer Foods, Creative testing Solutions and Rowboat Software. She also full-time worked at ASU as deputy director of the Donald W Reynolds National Institute of Business Journalism, and in2002 started Eat West Magazines   a nationally disturbed publication for the pan Asian-American community.

A Passion drove Malik to want to make sure that voices of South Asian and Asian-American were heard, she said that what she likes to do whole life and will continue, she wants to see that stories of around are often one of success but that overlooks the struggle of somany, she will make sure those challenges and stories are heard and solution are found out.
