Mahendra Singh Dhoni backed out from the Indies tour- what is the reason behind it?

The Indian team is heading towards a full tour to West Indies from August 3rd. Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni informed BCCI that he will not be available for the selection and took a leave for 60 days.

Bipin Rawat the Army chief general approve the request of Mahendra Singh Dhoni to give him training with other Territorial Army battalion of the regiment for 60 days.

The Lieutenant Colonel gets to train with the battalions of Parachute regiment. The training is also known to taken place in parts of Kashmir valley. However M.S. Dhoni would stay away from any operation.

In the year 2011 Dhoni was awarded the rank of Lieutenant colonel. This award in known to belong to the Territorial Army Battalion. In 2015 Mahendra Singh Dhoni trained himself with the para Regiment force. Former captain of India who won the World Cup completed the parachute jump 4 years ago after the course.

After the teams defeat in the semi finals of World Cup 2019 against New Zealand, Captain Cool took break for 2 months.

The selection committee chairman announce that they discussed with Mahendra Singh Dhoni about his retirement and said that it is one’s individual thing. Such a legendary cricketer like him would know it better when to retire and as the future is considered it is totally in the selectors hand.
