Melanie Joly, Canada’s foreign minister, is in India for the G20 summit.

The G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting will be held in New Delhi, where Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly last visited on a separate bilateral trip less than a month ago.

She will also be a featured speaker at the Raisina Dialogue, co-hosted by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Observer Research Foundation, or ORF. From Wednesday through Friday, Joly will be in India.

It has never been more important for the G20 and Indo-Pacific partners to show our determination to make a real, lasting difference as the world struggles with inflation, the rising cost of living, and supply chain disruptions exacerbated by Russia’s illegal war against Ukraine. In a statement released by Global Affairs Canada, the nation’s foreign ministry, she said, “Canada welcomes India’s G20 Presidency and its leadership in organizing the Raisina Dialogue.

In line with the G20 theme of “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” she will “discuss India’s G20 agenda with a focus on accelerating progress to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2023,” according to the press release.
