Mumbai Attack 26/11- The Darkest day of India

The 10th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks is on Nov 26th. On this darkest day, around 10 terrorists targeted Mumbai. The Mumbai attack in the history of the country was the most horrific terror attack, which had curled everyone’s life. About 166 people died and hundreds were injured in this attack. Ajmal Kasab, one of the 10 terrorists who attacked Mumbai, was caught alive, who was hanged in Yerwada jail of Pune on November 21, 2011. But did you know that the then US Bush administration had even prepared its special forces to kill the terrorists of Lashkar-e-Toiba, a Pakistani terrorist organization who hosted the hotels during the terrorist attacks? This is disclosed by a former White House official. These important points go through the whole ordeal India faced on this darkest day.

Mumbai Attack:

• On the night of 26 November 2008, 10 terrorists from Pakistan’s terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba entered India through a boat from the coastal coast of Colaba. Fully equipped with weapons and costumes such that no one can detect it.
• All the armed men joined in the fishermen colony of Colaba in Mumbai and immediately began to carry out their abusive acts. On leaving the fisherman colony, these terrorists were divided into two-to-two trolleys.
• The terrorists started firing and banging as soon as they entered their location. 200 NSG commandos were sent from the centre to deal with them. 50 commandos of the Army were involved in this operation. Apart from this, five troop troops were also sent there.
• The first team of terrorists included Imran Babur and Abu Umar, a terrorist. Both of them reached Leopold café and stormed out at around 9.30 in the night.
• The second team of terrorists included Ajmal Amir Kasab and Abu Ismail Khan. Both reached CST and began to indulge in indiscriminate firing. These two terrorists killed 58 people here.
• 26 November 2011 Ajmal Amir Kasab, who was captured alive alone in the Mumbai attack, was hanged in Yerwada jail, Pune after the whole legal process.

Mumbai Attack: The aftermaths

• Aneesh Goyal, who was part of White House’s 26/11 crisis management group, said that but Indian commandos have completed their work even before getting necessary approvals from Indian officials.
• In the financial capital of India, 166 people were killed in a fierce attack by 10 terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Some American citizens were also involved in the death.
• Recalling the developments in the White House during the Thanksgiving weekend of 2008, Goyal said that the US had some special teams in the area “whom we were planning to deploy immediately”.
• He told that America also offered forensic help to find out who was responsible for the attack and where the attacker was from? The White House was ready to give any help that India could ask for in connection with the terrorist attack.

The event that happened at the Indian Embassy in memory of the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, the silence was observed to pay respect and prayers for all the brave souls departed by this barbaric act. The high-ranked officials and leaders from all over the world urged Pakistan to take stringent actions on the LeT terrorists.
