Nuisance caused in Nepal due to landslide, 24 missing while 43 dead in flood

The police said that about 43 people were killed in the flood which consisted of 18 women. Other 20 people were severely injured and landslides accompanied by rains have affected different parts of Nepal, Kathmandu.

The Himalayan Times, this Sunday, reported that twenty four human beings were found missing after the rain incident. The settlements were displaced.

Ten thousand three hundred and eighty five (10,385) households are known to be effected by heavy rainfall from Thursday. Along with these 25 districts of the place and the southern pains of the country was affected.

The police were present there to rescue the victims. 185 people from Kathmandu and 1,104 people were rescued from different places of the country.

It is declared by the flood forecasting section that the monsoon here is active and it is assumed that the rainfall will last for 2 to 3 days in the country. The Nepal police stated that 27,380 police’s spread across Nepal for the rescue operations.

MFD which stands for Meteorological Forecasting Division have announced high alert to the public. They also said that due to low visibility the road traffic might be affected. Such heavy rainfall has led to the increase in the water level.
