Poly Chatterjee – Actress, Model, Singer

Though I was born in a zamindar family and was raised within the confinements of it, I was able to pursue music and dance within those boundaries. I got married at a very young age due to my father falling sick suddenly. Then, I ended up in America, once and for all. At first, I felt really down and lonesome without the friends I made in Kolkata and, singing and dancing. But, at some point I felt, so what if my friends are no longer with me? I can still follow my passion, re-start my practices. I acted as I wilt and started my vocal training once again. Started receiving calls for concerts, smaller ones at first and then from bigger stages .

I was doing modelling, ramp walk along with singing and dancing. They gave me the title as ‘a multitalented young gorgeous pretty lady’ and “All Bengalis’ should be proud for her, she is the Bengal’s pride”. That was a big achievement to me. One day, my husband told me that he wanted to make a production house. He asked for my opinion. I was really elated to hear it. After making a few short films they finally produced a feature film. The film was called ‘Aar Ekti Roopkotha (Another Fairy-tale)’. I acted in it. There was also a song by me- ‘Ek Durpallar Golpe’. I received a lot of praise for that song. The film has been screened in America. I’m eagerly waiting for the opinions of the audiences in Kolkata when it releases there. Coming Mahalaya, another one of my music videos will premiere on YouTube. It will premiere on my new YouTube channel, ‘Poly Exclusive’. A number of my upcoming works will be in Kolkata. There will be some short films and feature films on my channel on a regular basis along with the music videos. “Another Fairy Tale” has been released in LA but it will be released in Kolkata and different places in US and also will be featured in Canada. After this next upcoming movie of ChatterjeeProduction is “Reflection”. And I played two fifferent kind of characters in these two movies. Completely opposite kind of image of mine.
