Well Dr. Harshad was sentenced on Friday by US District Judge Cormac J Carney the US Attorney’s office said in written Statement. The press release noted “The government played multiple recording to Defendant’s own words at trial that demonstrated that Defendant was not induced by the Government to commit bribery, the recording provided direct evidence that defendant controlled the relationship with (IRS revenue agent) initiated the bribery offer, and continued to pressure (revenue agent) to accept the bribe despite (revenue agent) reluctance and multiple reminder that this conduct was illegal”.

As Carney remanded Shah to custody following the sentencing him of bribing the agent.
