Rahul Gandhi steps down for humanity work with launching Amma Project

Rahul Gandhi aiming at “The poorest and the weakest” in the city launched the Indira Canteen in Bengaluru.

Rahul Gandhi said that “Many people in Bengaluru live in huge houses, drive rich cars and for them food is not issue for them. But millions of people who are construction workers, auto rickshaw drivers and barbers who do not have enough money. The Indira canteen will serve these people.” After inaugurating in Jayanagar ward in the city he said “we want Poorest and weakest in the city to know that they cannot go hungry”.

He was accompanied by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, city Mayor G Padamavathi, Karnataka Pradesh congress committee President G Parameshwara and other party leader. Says media sources.

Rahul also said that he is proud of the fact that the canteen will provide breakfast for Rs 5and meals for Rs 10. “Nobody should go hungry”. And added saying “I am proud that it is a congress government that conceptualized this canteen”.

Later he even purchased meal for Rs10.

However following with promises of hygienic food at cheap rates  In speech he even seemed confused with Indira canteen (started by late jayalalita CM) to his Indira canteen.  Then there error about opening in city corrected by saying “every single City”.

Beside from the one in Jayanagar, 100 other canteens will be opened on Wednesday for dinner which will be served free of cost to all on the first day calling it as historic day in karanataka.

Whereas at present Bengaluru is even fight for flood situation.
