Sensational victory rocking Indian cricket team over New Zealand

India team marked the day at Greenfield Stadium with first-ever T20 series win against New Zealand. On Tuesday even weather halting the game’s final match with cutting over edge of players; India pulled the sensational game of third and final Twenty20 against New Zealand to capture series.

Thiruvananthapuram: Ravi Shastri complements team efforts as India clinch first-ever T20l series vs New Zealand. India were asked with batting first as it got better of New Zealand by six runs in the rain –affected third T20 in Thiruvananthapuram. As match got delayed and had to curtail with 8 over a side affair.

India scored 67/5 in eight overs with Manish Pandey (17), Hardik Pandey and Virat Kohli (13) were the top scorers. Indians batman’s were also partly to blame as they tried to go for big shot from the go, game openers Shikhar Dhawan(6) and Rohit Sharma(8) started in with stunt performance but landed with paying price before even they took open the place. Virat Indian  Captain (13) was in action too from start with zeal hitting the spinner for a four and six but then got out, with Shreyas Iyer(6) and Manish Pandey (17) tried to maintained game rolling ,unbeaten performance from Hardik Pandey hitting a huge six with MS Dhoni who did not get even single delivery. India bowler’s good performance was bagged by Jasprit Bumrah 2 wickets, Bhuvneshwar and Kuldeep picked 1each to lead India towards victory.

As to New Zealand managed to 61/6 in eight overs, though it’s sharp bowling performance had restricted India. But Game with poor performance from Matin Guptil(1) losing to Bhuvneshwar Kumar a slow bowler, Danger man known Colin Munro (7) also got dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah with Rohit taking a brilliant catch. Match had one sparking thing in match was in play ground as to gain win New Zealand batman’s ran everywhere throwing bats, but only to lose their strategy and match both.

Highlighted performance seen from Tim Southee (2/13) and Ish Sodhi (2/23) and Michell Santner’s sensational catches.

Ravi Shashtri Indian coach all but praising said Indian bowlers Bhuvneshwar kumar( 1/18) and Jasprit Bumrah (2/9) rocked the New Zealand early’s by hosts clinched the match with 6 runs via Duckworth-Lewis-Stern Method. He also said” You’ll be lying if you aren’t tense, such games can change in the matter of 2-3 balls. Boys saved the best for last in terms of fielding. There was electricity on the field, we thought we could defend it” said on the completion of match.

Shastri also showered praise on Bumrah who was named Man of Match and Man of the Series.

Shastri said “after we lost a couple of wickets our aim was to get 6.5.By  no means it’s a match-winning score, but if you field well and start well, the pressure is on the opposition. Outstanding temperament from Bumrah. He’s shown he’s got all the tools of the trade. But importantly what he’s shown that he thinking bowler’.

With winding to this series  India’s  next assignment start when Srilanka  Tour  for three match test series starting November 16 India also host Sri Lanka for three ODIs as many as T20Is before leaving of marathon tour of South Africa in January. For now it’s just celebration time with history marked against New Zealand.
