Sonia Gandhi landed in Mysuru on Monday afternoon for a two-day vacation for Ayudha Puja and Vijayadashami as part of the “Bharat Jodo Yatra” in Karnataka (Tuesday and Wednesday).
Sonia Gandhi’s participation in the march was a source of pleasure for Karnataka Congress chairman DK Shivakumar.
“Vijaya will follow Vijayadashami in Karnataka. We are honored that Sonia Gandhi has come to Karnataka to stroll the streets. We are gaining power in the state, and the BJP is on its way out, “Mr. Shivakumar explained.
Rahul Gandhi aims to walk 3,570 kilometers through 12 states in his drive to “unite India” and send a message against the BJP’s “divisive tactics.” The campaign, during which Rahul Gandhi and other Congress officials have been sleeping in containers, tries to mobilize the party’s workers for the next elections following a string of defeats.
