With so many oppositions from the Congress party, The Accidental Prime Minister has caused quite a stir with just a glimpse of it. The trailer of the movie released on December 27th and lit the internet on fire. Having so many stalwarts in the movie including Anupam Kher and Akshay Khanna, the film sets to hit the theaters on January 11th. Watch the trailer here if you haven’t.
The movie is based on the book of the same name ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, written by Dr. Manmohan Singh’s media advisor Sanjaya Baru during his regime as PM of India from 2004 – 2008. The movie is an absolute realization of the book. Having said that, replying to all the loquacious tantrums thrown against the movie, the 63-old actor Anupam Kher asked where were “all those” when the book had released so many years ago.
The man who impersonated India’s Least Talkative PM also said that when a film is made on serious topics like Jaallianwala Bagh or The Holocaust or any historic incident, there can’t be any adjustments made to the facts. Further, when asked if BJP where his wife Kirron Kher is a lawmaker, could use the movie for its own advantage, the versatile actor replied that “If I would have been in politics I would have definitely told them to do so. But I am an actor, they will decide.”
As time passes a lot of disapproval is raising from the Congress. The party members are also asking for special screening before the film’s release. As usual, the cat and dog fight resumed where congress alleged BJP of advertising the movie where the facts about the Party’s leaders including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandi are wrong and deviated.

While the political parties make or break as a result of the release of the trailer, the film fanatics have received it well and appreciated Anupam Kher’s performance. Asking the actor about his preparation of the role, he said that it was indeed a very difficult role to perform.
