The biggest quake in Southern California- though no major damage caused

An earthquake struck Los Angeles city Friday evening, southern California near about 8:21 p.m.The state faced earthquake twice this month with a magnitude ofn7.1 and 6.4 respectively on Thursday and Friday. The epicentres were near the Ridgecrestcommunity for both the quakes. The earthquake on Thursday with a magnitude of 6.4 was already recorded as the highest and the major one to hit southern California in the last two decades. But it was replaced by the earthquake on Friday eve. How so ever there is no mark of major damages after the calamity. Sara Donchey who is the anchor of KCAL9 held Juan Fernandez the co-anchor who steadied her own self before huddling under her own desk. He even reported of feeling sickas he thought the earthquake won’t stop.

Last Thursday’s earthquake with 6.4 magnitudes is now considered a tremor in comparison to Friday’s calamity. Since last evening there had been more than 1300 earthquakes relatively smaller than the last two which took place in Thursday and Friday. Among these small earthquakes the largest magnitude recorded was 5.0. On Thursday it was said that the particular area might receive many more earthquakes of 6 point zero magnitude and above in the future said by Caltech. While talking to the reporters the earthquake experts and seismologists tried to calm down the people and their fears. After observing the recent activities near Ridgecrest Lucy Jones said that there are a lot of reasons for California to face earthquakes similar to this Friday’s quake in the future. He also said that the aftershock of this earthquake of 7.1 magnitudes would remain for several months if not for years.

The governor of California issued the state’s as well as his support to the areas which got affected by the earthquake. The Red Cross is busy providing their services to the needy people after the earthquake. Several videos of the event have been made viral in the social media. The population of the effected region said that after the incident one house caught fire. Thousands of people are injured but no major harm/ damages took place.
