Three to be trained for refuge team by Abhinav Bindra to Olympics

On the very day Niccolo Campriani and Abhinav Bindra’s career ended in 2016. But it took place in a contrasting fashion. At the Olympics,Bindramissed the podium finish in his last shot by a very narrow margin which was heart-breaking. There is considered to be a link between the word shooting and the word refugees. But these words are very rarely used in the positive context. However to change this the two to gold medallist of the Olympics have joined hand in hand. Niccolo Campriani’s last shot has been in a dramatic circumstance which fetched him the Olympic gold medal which became the third medal of his career.

They both reunited 3 years after the air rifle 10 m final which took place in Rio de Janeiro to nurture and fulfil another dream to win in the Olympics. This two gold medallist collaborated for helping three refugees in qualifying for the Olympics in Tokyo next July. This refugees are Luna, Khaoula and Mahdi. Campriani will be mentoring for the next one whole year to help the refugees to achieve the minimum score that will help them to qualify and to become eligible for the refugee team in the Olympics, the one which established themselves and made the debute at Rio games.

This Italian guy who is the head of the project. The launch of this project coincided with 1.5 years countdown to starting of the game. The role for behind the scene will be played by Bindra who is responsible to hold the two coaching sessions till date. Campriani’s mind struck with the idea of training refuses at the Olympics which took place in Rio as he met few athletes of a team 10 member. Sohe reached to the local immigration officer in Switzerland and expressed his desire to undertake 3 refugee and trained them under his wing. Every Sunday he interviewed few candidates for the few months.
