US – INDIAN lending hands both fronts with Manisha Singh will serve us while united Sikhs standing up during Hurricane Crisis

Yes, Indo-American Manisha Singh to be nominated for key administration position while US Sikh body gear up to serve community by volunteering for relief efforts and sending aid to Irma just after Harvey,  2nd recent hurricane affecting US coastal.

Hardyal Singh of US based Sikh body United Sikhs said after extending help to hurricane victims in Houston, their community preparing themselves to volunteer and send aid in wake of Irma was reported on Friday. He said “Drawing inspiration from concept of Sewa (selfless service) as enshrined in Sikhism we have begun preparations to brace the three hurricanes Irma, Jose and Katia coming into the Atlantic Ocean however the strongest is Irma”.

He also said they contacted volunteer and Gudwara in Miami and Orlando “we have asked them to follow the FEMA order and evacuate if their city is in the line of hurricane. Hardyal Singh, they had also established base camp in Orlando with local coordinator Baljit Singh monitoring with team of volunteers. Due to effort from local coordinators that they got activated in short time frame and have begun first shipment of aid to be distributed” Right now we have advised the families to purchase the necessary supplies that are needed for their household.”

Sikh body Director Gurvinder Singh said” Our team is in touch with FEMA. Red Cross and more volunteer will reach the impacted regions of the storm is assessed”. He also informed that their volunteer from Texas, Indiana, Seattle, California, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Washington have been activated to assist in towards relief efforts “Today we are providing 2trucks of food and disaster relief items to sheriff department”.

US President Donald Trump intends to nominate an Indian – American woman to Key administration position in State Department which makes Manisha Singh in charge of Economic Diplomacy said the White house. Manisha will take upon Charles Rivkin assistant secretary of State for Economic affairs and currently she is Chief Counsel and Senior Policy Adviser to Senate Dan Sullivan. This position had been vacant after Rivkin put the papers following since President Trump swearing in January as 45th President of the US.

Manisha Singh is 45 years resident from Florida served as deputy assistant secretary of state in Bureau of Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs as an aide to Senate Foreign Relation Committee. She is LL.M degree in International Legal Studies from the American University Washington College of law, J.D. from Florida University college of Law while completed her BA from Miami University at the age of 19 years. Manisha’s parent is from an Uttar Pradesh native moved to Florida along with her as child.

Manisha private sector experience is practicing law at multinational firms and working in house at an investment bank. As she is licensed to practice law in Florida, Pennsylvania and District of Columbia.
