Since the Taj Mahal has been in controversy, Yogi’s visit to Taj Mahal Agra on Thursday came as something look upon making of the point from BJP candidate as it being Muslim monument were least BJP leader has ever visited.
Agra: UP CM Yogi’s visit today came up as surprise when he picked up the broom at the world renowned heritage Taj Mahal, as it is after the Mughal-era monument was in series of controversies with some member of the ruling BJP. He reached Kheria technical airport in the morning and then took part in cleanliness drive near the Western Gate of the Taj Mahal.
He stayed there for 45 minutes around, he swept a small area outside Taj wearing gloves and a baseball hat, though same grounds of Taj Mahal were denounce it as “a blot on Indian culture” by some leaders and ministers from BJP.

The opposition has described it to designed to divide Hindus and Muslims in the country’s most-populous state as its’ one of the seven wonder of world. As no BJP CM of UP has ever visited the Taj Mahal built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as a tribute for his queen Mumtaz Mahal whereas CM Yogi addressing the event highlighted his government, accusing them of practicing divisive politics. He also said that his government efforts are not just aimed at benefitting any caste or religion but its regards to entire state. As per ANI news agency quoted him saying” Only those people are raising questions over my Agra visit are who have divided the society on the basis of castes”.
The Taj is controversy since few months as it’s was deducted from tourist’s booklet whereas it’s one of the Indian tourist destination to be attracting more than six million tourist yearly. The iconic monument a UNESCO world heritage site considered a “symbol of love” was not issued in tourist booklet by the UP government last month. Sohail Hashmi writer and a heritage expert accused the BJP playing politics over the Taj as total 32 page booklet titled Uttar Pradesh Tourism: Its high potential” released by Rita Bahuguna Joshi state tourism Minister mentions a number of Hindu and Buddhist religious places but misses one of the world most famous monument.
