‘Yugpurush Atal’ announced on 93rd birthday of former pm Atal Bihari Vajpayees.

New Delhi: On 25th December Monday, the occasion of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayees 93rd birthday a biopic titled ‘Yugpurush Atal’ was announced.

Produced by Rajeev Dhamija, Amit Joshi and Ranjeet Sharma under the Spectrum Movies banner, the film has been written by Basant Kumar and will be directed by Mayank P. Srivastava.

“We are making this biopic on Vajpayee’s family’s consent. We are constantly in touch with his family members. His niece Mala Tiwari has helped us in executing thisproject, “said Srivastava

Veteran composer Bappi Lahiri has created a song for Yugpurush Atal.

“I wish good luck to the makers for this biopic. I have made a song for Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This song is made from a poem that he wrote earlier,” Lahiri, who is currently in the US, said in a video.

Born in the family of a humble school teacher on December 25 1924, in the erstwhile princely state of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, Vajpayee served as Prime Minister from March 19, 1998, to May 22, 2004, and for a short period in 1996.

Actor-producer Neetu Chandra had also announced that she would be reciting poems in honor of the former Prime Minister’s birthday.

“I am honored that I have been invited to recite some of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s poems on his 93rd birthday. It’s an honor to be doing so in the presence of dignitaries like Yogi Adityanathji (Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister),” Neetu had said in a statement.

The makers will soon start casting for the project, while story surround the life of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee with cost of Rs.50 crores said the Spectrum Movies here on Monday as it will two hours and fifteen minutes film will be named ‘YugPurush Atal’ will soon be ready by next year on 94th birthday of Mr. Vajpayee.
